Richard Ashcroft returns with Lovin’ You — his first album of all-new material since 2018’s Natural Rebel. Following the reflective reworkings of Acoustic Hymns, Vol. 1, Ashcroft steps boldly back into the spotlight with a collection that’s both familiar and refreshingly new.

About the Album:

The album launches with lead single “Lover”, already winning over airwaves and featuring a cheeky nod to Joan Armatrading’s classic “Love And Affection.” Joan herself has given Ashcroft her blessing, declaring:

“I love how he’s used my song and I love his song.”

Lovin’ You promises a sonic journey through Ashcroft’s diverse influences, from lush acoustic ballads and anthemic indie-rock to touches of Americana, soul, and even flashes of glitchy electro. Lyrically, the album dives into love, romance, and messages of hope for anyone facing life’s inevitable twists and turns.

Produced alongside long-time collaborator Chris Potter and Emre Ramazanoglu, the album also features a notable collaboration with Mirwais (best known for his trailblazing production on Madonna’s hits) on the track “I’m A Rebel.”
