The album draws inspiration from an old World War II Naval base in Liverpool city centre, which shares its name with the album. Conceived on the docks, a new location closer to home, the band finds a connection to their roots as they play in various locations. Notably, they had a significant headline show in Bootle, a small town in North Liverpool where some band members grew up.

The album's inspiration is rooted in nostalgia and a dockland setting, providing a post-war aesthetic that influences both the name and the artwork.
