Ocean Colour Scene, a band formed in October 1989 by Simon Fowler, Steve Cradock, Damon Minchella, and Oscar Harrison, chose their name by arranging their three favourite words. Fast forward thirty-five years, and Ocean Colour Scene remains united, creating music and consistently selling out large concert halls across the country.

With an incredibly dedicated fan base, Ocean Colour Scene has become a symbol of British music excellence. This box set, presented by Demon Records, is a testament to the band's legacy, offering a collection of lesser-known classics from Ocean Colour Scene's extensive catalogue.

Contained within this 4LP set are four discs brimming with B-sides and rarities released by Ocean Colour Scene throughout their illustrious career. The tracks are arranged chronologically, offering a journey through the band's evolution. From the Free-inspired 'So Sad' and 'Men Of Such Opinion' (Simon’s favourite self-written lyric) to 'I Need A Love Song' and 'Justine,' the B-side tracks to the classic 'The Day We Caught The Train' single, the collection provides a comprehensive look at the band's musical landscape.

Highlights include 'On The Way Home' from the 1997 release 'Travellers Tune,' 'Expensive Chair' and 'Mariners Way' featuring P.P. Arnold, and 'Hello Monday' from the 'Hundred Mile High City' single. The artwork, an outtake from the iconic Tony Briggs shot for 'The Day We Caught The Train,' adds a visual element to this musical treasure trove.

This box set is a collaborative effort with the band, featuring remastered tracks by Phil Kinrade at Alchemy Mastering and pressed on limited edition 140g colour vinyl. Each set comes complete with a signed insert, making it a must-have for both devoted fans and newcomers alike.
