The album marks a creative renaissance for Bedouin Soundclash, drawing inspiration from diverse genres and showcasing a vibrant mix of sounds. Co-produced by Bedouin Soundclash and renowned Philadelphia House DJ King Britt, with musical direction from Ben Jaffe of Preservation Hall, the recording sessions took place in two vibrant communities: Marigny Studio’s in New Orleans with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and St. James Church in Vancouver with the children of the St. James Music Academy.

Mass mirrors the dynamic energy of New Orleans, delivering a rich sonic journey that encompasses Big Band swing, New Orleans jazz, pop, electronica, and more. The album features a spectrum of infectious melodies, from the post-punk-soca vibes of "Salt Water" to the jangling Big Band swing-pop in the recent single "Clockwork." Tracks like "When We’re Gone" channel the spirit of Talking Heads, while "Holy" explores dubbing afro-pop gospel with Mike Dillon pushing his marimbas into another sonic dimension. Mass promises a festival of tunes that captivate with its diverse influences and sunny vibes.
